Tea Ceremonies & Events

Gongfu tea, shared in presence
Join us for Gongfu-style tea ceremonies in Kendal, Liverpool and the Lake District — simple gatherings around good tea, presence and human connection.
Each gathering has its own rhythm. We don’t follow a fixed script or promise a particular experience. The tea, the people and the present moment shape what unfolds.

More information
What to expect
This is a small and intimate Gongfu-style tea gathering, centred around good quality tea, presence and connection. Each gathering has a gentle structure, while leaving space for the people, the tea and the present moment to shape the experience. Conversation, silence, meditation or simple mindful practices may naturally become part of our time together.
The tea
We usually share carefully prepared Pu-erh tea using a Gongfu-style tea set. Occasionally we may explore other teas or herbal infusions. A caffeine-free herbal option is also available on request — just let us know when booking.
Do I need any experience?
Not at all. You don’t need to know anything about tea or meditation. Simply come as you are.
Group size
The Kendal space is intentionally small, so the gatherings remain personal and relaxed. Places are limited and advance booking is essential.
Contribution
£10 — accessible contribution
£20 — suggested contribution
£30+ — supporting contribution
Paying a little more helps us keep the gathering accessible to people who may need to contribute less. Everyone receives the same experience, regardless of contribution.
Booking
Please contact us in advance to reserve your place. Dates may occasionally change when another programme is taking place, so your booking will always be confirmed with you.
The Art of Tea — Liverpool
Saturday 24 October · 12:00–2:30 pm

A relaxed Gongfu tea gathering — an opportunity to sit together, share good tea and experience the simple ritual of preparing and drinking tea with presence.
More Information
What to expect
A gentle, guided Gongfu tea ceremony with space to slow down, arrive in the present moment and enjoy being together.
We will share good tea, conversation and silence. There may also be a short meditation or mindful movement, depending on the group.
The ceremony has a natural structure, but no two gatherings are quite the same. The people, the tea and the moment all help shape the experience.
The tea
We will mainly share good quality Pu-erh, prepared Gongfu-style in a series of small infusions. This slower way of drinking tea gives us time to notice how the flavour changes — and simply enjoy the journey from cup to cup.
A caffeine-free herbal option is also available on request.
Who is it for?
Everyone is welcome. You don’t need any experience of tea ceremony or meditation — just a little curiosity and a couple of hours to give yourself.
Come alone, with a friend or with someone you love.
Contribution
Pay what you can:
£10 or less — accessible contribution
£20 — suggested contribution
£30 or more — supporting contribution
Your contribution helps cover the space, tea and facilitation, and helps us keep these gatherings accessible. Everyone is equally welcome.
Booking
Advance booking is essential, as places are limited.
Please get in touch to reserve your place.
