Lomi Lomi Massage Training
Hawaiian Healing Art – Lomi Lomi Fundamental Massage Training Course
Learn the foundations. Deepen your touch. Find your own flow.
Over the years, through giving massage and through the many people I have had the privilege to work with, I have learned deeply — not only about the body, but about presence, listening and connection. These experiences have been a great gift to me, and it feels like a true honour and joy to share what I have learned.
This is why I began teaching Lomi Lomi massage — a practice that holds a very special and meaningful place in my life.
You are warmly invited to learn the art of Lomi Lomi: flowing, heart-led bodywork rooted in Hawaiian tradition, mindful touch and loving presence.
The training is open to complete beginners as well as practising massage therapists and bodyworkers. It is taught in small groups or privately, allowing plenty of time to practise, receive, ask questions and develop confidence in your own hands.
Your Journey into Lomi Lomi
This is a complete six-day foundation training designed to give you the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to offer a full Lomi Lomi massage.
Step by step, you will learn how to give a complete treatment — from preparing and opening a session to flowing full-body massage, forearm techniques, transitions, body movement, rhythm, breath, communication, boundaries and aftercare.
You will give and receive massage throughout the course, with plenty of time for practice, individual guidance and feedback. On completion of the training, you will receive a certificate.
But Lomi Lomi is not only about learning technique.
From Foundations to Flow
This complete six-day training gives you the practical skills, understanding and confidence to offer a full Lomi Lomi massage independently.
But before we learn how to work with another person, we begin with ourselves. Presence, self-awareness, self-acceptance and learning to hold our own space form the foundation of the training. We explore how to stay grounded and connected to ourselves while giving, how to work from a place of ease rather than effort, and how loving presence can change the quality of even the simplest touch.
From this foundation, we build the practical skills of Lomi Lomi step by step — flowing full-body massage, forearm techniques, transitions, body movement, rhythm, breath, communication and aftercare. You will learn not only what to do, but how to remain present, listen and respond while you are doing it.
Throughout the course, you will both give and receive massage, with plenty of time for practice, individual guidance and feedback. After the six training days, you will continue developing your skills through 15 case studies, a short written essay and you need to learn the basics of anatomy (if you do not yet have any prior knowledge of anatomy).
Once these are completed, you will receive your Lomi Lomi Massage Practitioner Certificate, marking the completion of your professional foundation training.
And the support doesn’t end with the course. As you begin practising and working with your own clients, I remain available for questions, guidance and support whenever you need it.
Beyond Technique
Lomi Lomi is not simply a sequence of massage techniques. The movements give us a structure, but it is presence, rhythm, breath, connection and quality of touch that bring them to life.
Throughout the training, we explore how to move and work with greater ease, how to listen through our hands, how to touch without forcing, and how to stay grounded and present while working with another person.
As confidence grows, the sequence becomes less something to remember and more a language you begin to understand — allowing the massage to become increasingly natural, responsive and your own.
The techniques give us the foundation. Presence gives them life.
What You Will Learn
The training gives you a practical foundation for offering a complete Lomi Lomi massage, while also developing the quality of presence behind the touch.
During the course we explore:
- flowing full-body Lomi Lomi sequences and forearm techniques
- movement, rhythm, breath and body mechanics
- transitions and working naturally around the massage table
- head, face, abdomen and other elements of a complete treatment
- creating flow rather than simply performing a sequence of techniques
- conscious touch, listening and responding to the body
- holding a safe, respectful and supportive space
- boundaries, communication and adapting the massage to the individual
- presence, self-awareness, self-acceptance and caring for your own energy while working
- bringing the different elements together into your own natural way of practising
How the Training Works
The complete Lomi Lomi Foundation Training includes six days of in-person learning and practice. It can be completed in a small group or as a fully personalised private training, with different ways to structure the learning around your life and experience.
Small Group Training — 6-Day Intensive or 2 × 3 Days
Small-group training offers the richness of learning together, with plenty of time for giving, receiving, practice, questions and individual guidance.
The complete training can be offered as an immersive 6-Day Intensive, allowing you to fully step into the experience, or divided into 2 × 3-day blocks, with time between the two parts to practise, integrate and let the learning settle.
Both formats cover the complete Foundation Training and lead towards the same practitioner certification requirements.
Private Foundation Training — A More Personal Way to Learn
The complete Foundation Training is also available one-to-one, offering a fully personalised learning experience with my complete attention.
Without the pace of a group to follow, there is more freedom to explore, ask questions, practise and spend time where you need it most. The schedule, pace and emphasis can be shaped around your experience and the way you learn best.
Looking for Something Different?
You don’t necessarily have to begin with the complete six-day training.
If you are already a massage therapist or Lomi Lomi practitioner — or simply want to explore a particular aspect of the work first — Advanced Workshops – The Art of Touch offer shorter, focused opportunities to work with flow, forearm techniques, rhythm, movement, presence and quality of touch.

Course Overview
“One touch is worth ten thousand words.”- Harold Bloomfield
Massage is a miraculous way of touching others’ lives. Every massage is a prayer as the human body is the temple of our soul. It is a micro-cosmos in itself, and its capacities to balance and heal itself are beyond comprehension.
Our body heals with love. And this ancient holistic technique is one of the most beautiful healing bodywork. This is like a moving meditation, a dance, a prayer and blessing for the giver and for the receiver also.
The Hawaiian Healing Art of Lomi Lomi Massage offers a fusion of ancient wisdom and universal principles that support transformation and healing. It serves as a bridge to connect our soul through the body, bringing balance back to our heart-mind connection. The intention of this massage is to gently support the recipient to release anything that is no longer serving them and to fully embody and align with their authentic soul.
Lomi Lomi massage is like holding someone’s soul -through the body- in your hands, as you hold sacred space for healing to unfold, offering love and compassion for transformation to take place.
Here is an invitation to learn the Lomi Lomi Massage and how to approach bodywork from an ancient Hawaiian healing perspective. This course provides you with a framework for practicing Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage, a certification and much more. It can help you to find your inner balance, activate your healing powers and welcome harmony in your life too. And as you develop how to do this you will be able to hold a safe sacred space for your clients and in this loving presence they can feel and heal, open to receive unconditional love of the Universe.
We work in small groups and participants practice on each other, so you will give and receive numerous massages during the course.
Who is it for?
This training is open to complete beginners as well as experienced massage therapists and bodywork practitioners who feel drawn to Lomi Lomi and this way of working with touch.
No previous massage experience is necessary. We build the practice step by step from the foundations. Some knowledge of anatomy and physiology is helpful, and an anatomy course can be completed alongside the post-training requirements if needed.
The course can also be particularly valuable for massage therapists, Lomi Lomi practitioners, yoga teachers and other bodyworkers who would like to bring more flow, presence, rhythm and conscious touch into their existing practice — or simply explore a different way of working with the body.
What matters most is curiosity, openness and a willingness to learn, practise and receive.
If this approach resonates with you, you are warmly welcome to get in touch and explore whether the training is right for you.

“I completed the beginners Lomi Lomi massage course with Berci, and I can honestly say I gained so much more than learning how to massage.
Berci is incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, and he took the time to make sure I learned at my own pace. The philosophy and traditional spiritual teachings of Lomi Lomi are something I will carry with me into everyday life.
Learning how to hold sacred space, and how to be fully present within yourself so that you can hold space for others, was at the heart of what we learned.
The Qi Gong, tea ceremonies, guided meditations and Hawaiian Flying Dance were all beautiful experiences and added so much depth to the course.
I can only thank Berci for his patience, his presence and the way he shared this practice with such care. ” /Calvin – 2026/
