Tea Ceremony in Kendal & the Lake District

Tea, presence and connection

A tea ceremony is a simple invitation to slow down, reconnect and appreciate the present moment.

Inspired by Chinese Gong Fu style tea preparation, we share carefully prepared high-quality tea in an unhurried setting, with space for both conversation and silence.

There is nothing you need to know or achieve. You are welcome to simply sit, drink tea and be present.

A space to slow down

At the heart of the ceremony is presence.

Tea gives us something simple to gather around. As the same leaves are brewed several times, the pace naturally changes. There is time to taste, listen, talk, reflect — or simply enjoy some quiet.

Each ceremony is gently guided, but not rigidly structured. Depending on the people and the occasion, we may also include a short meditation, breathing or mindful movement.

Nothing is forced. Simplicity stays at the centre.

The Tea

We primarily serve high-quality Pu-erh and other Chinese teas, prepared Gong Fu style through a series of short infusions.

For those who prefer a caffeine-free experience, herbal tea is available on request.

No previous knowledge of tea is needed.
