Together in Flow
A One-Day Journey into Presence, Conscious Touch & Connection
Together in Flow is an invitation to give yourselves something that can be surprisingly rare: quality time devoted simply to share and being together in the Loving Presence.
You may already share a close, loving and harmonious relationship and simply feel curious to discover something new together. You may want to bring a little more tenderness, playfulness or conscious touch into your life. Or perhaps everyday responsibilities have left less space for each other than you would like.
There doesn’t need to be anything missing or anything to fix.
This retreat is about creating space for what is already there — and discovering what else may unfold when you give each other time, curiosity and your full attention.
At the heart of the day is presence: learning to become more aware of ourselves, of the person beside us, and of what happens between us when we slow down enough to really notice.
And that presence begins with ourselves.
Self-acceptance and self-love are an important foundation of the retreat. When we can meet ourselves with greater kindness, listen to our own body and become more comfortable with our needs and boundaries, we also create more space to meet another person openly.
This becomes especially visible through giving and receiving.
Sometimes giving comes naturally while receiving feels unfamiliar. Sometimes we are so focused on giving something “well” that we forget simply to feel the person beneath our hands. And sometimes receiving means learning that, for a while, we don’t need to give anything back at all.
Throughout the day, you will explore both sides.
You will give. You will receive. You will listen, communicate, touch, rest and change roles.
Massage, breath, movement, meditation, tea and simple awareness practices become different ways of exploring the same thing: how it feels to be fully present with yourself while sharing that presence with someone you love.
The rest of the page continues as above from “Learning Through Touch.”
Learning Through Touch
Massage and conscious touch give us a beautiful and very practical way to explore all of this.
Guided step by step, you will practise on each other and learn simple, flowing massage movements inspired by Lomi Lomi bodywork — including long flowing strokes, grounding touch, gentle rhythmic movement, supportive holding and moments of stillness.
There is no complicated routine to memorise and no expectation to perform.
Instead, we explore how attention, intention, breath, rhythm, communication and quality of touch can transform even a very simple movement.
The person receiving also has an active role: learning to notice, communicate, trust, let go where possible and simply allow themselves to receive.
Depending on the format of the day and who is facilitating, some practices may also develop naturally into two-, four- or maybe even six-hand massage.
This can create an extraordinary experience of receiving while also giving couples an opportunity to experience touch and massage from completely new perspectives.
The purpose is not to turn you into massage therapists.
It is to give you something much more useful in everyday life: a simple language of touch, attention and presence that belongs to the two of you.
A Day Shaped Around You
Every couple is different.
For this reason, the private Couples Retreat has a structure, but it does not follow a rigid programme.
The six hours are shaped around you, your relationship, your comfort and what you would most like to explore together.
Some couples may want more practical massage guidance and plenty of hands-on practice.
Others may prefer a slower experience with more time for tea, meditation, breath, movement, reflection and simply receiving.
Most will probably find their own balance somewhere between the two.
Your day may include:
- opening tea and time to arrive, intention setting
- grounding and awareness practices
- gentle breathwork and mindful movement
- practices supporting self-awareness and self-acceptance
- exploring giving and receiving
- conscious touch and body awareness
- flowing massage inspired by Lomi Lomi
- guided hands-on practice with your partner
- communication and listening through touch
- two-, four- maybe six handed massage experiences
- meditation and other mindfulness practices
- reflection and integration
- simple practices to continue together at home
The programme unfolds gently and there is always room to pause, change direction or spend more time with something that feels particularly valuable to you.
Intimacy, Touch & Expectation
One of the things we gently explore during Together in Flow is the difference between intimacy and sexuality.
They can beautifully belong together, but they are not the same thing.
Intimacy can also be the experience of feeling completely safe and accepted in another person’s presence. It can be a hand resting quietly on the body without asking for anything. Being listened to without someone trying to change you. Giving your full attention to another person simply because you care.
Touch can carry affection, tenderness and love without needing to lead anywhere.
For many of us, however, deeply attentive physical touch has become closely associated with romantic or sexual intimacy. We may rarely experience prolonged, loving touch without an expectation attached to it.
Together in Flow offers an opportunity to explore something different: giving without asking, and receiving without owing.
When you are giving, your attention is with the person receiving rather than with what might come back to you.
When you are receiving, there is nothing you need to perform, achieve or immediately return. For that moment, you are simply allowed to receive and surrender.
This simplicity can bring a surprising depth to touch.
It can also help us notice our own habits: whether receiving comes easily to us, whether we find it easier to care for someone else than to allow ourselves to be cared for, and whether we can communicate clearly when something feels good, uncomfortable, enough, or simply not right for us.
This is where presence, self-acceptance, communication and conscious touch begin to come together.
Together in Flow is not tantra and not erotic massage. Intimate areas and primary erogenous zones are not included in the massage practice.
At the same time, what you discover about attention, trust, boundaries, giving and receiving belongs to you. These qualities don’t have to remain inside the retreat room. They may naturally find their way into everyday affection, communication and other, more intimate parts of your relationship.
We don’t direct or prescribe where that exploration should lead.
We simply create a space where touch can be touch, intimacy can be intimacy, and giving can exist without expectation.
Two Ways to Experience the Couples Retreat
Together in Flow is available as a fully personalised private retreat for one couple, or as a shared group experience on selected dates — two different ways to explore the same foundations of presence, conscious touch, giving, receiving and connection.
Private Couples Retreat
Six hours dedicated entirely to the two of you
The private retreat offers the most personal version of Together in Flow.
With only one couple, we can adapt the pace, practices and balance of the day to what feels most valuable to you.
No previous massage experience is necessary.
Available regularly in Kendal and on selected dates in Liverpool.
6 hours – £444 per couple
Please contact us for booking so we can have a short conversation about what you would like from your day.
Small Group Couples Retreat
Together in Flow is also offered as a small group experience on selected dates.
Each couple primarily works with their own partner while being guided through the practices together.
The group format brings a different energy to the retreat: couples learn alongside one another while still maintaining the personal space and intimacy of their own experience.
The programme includes the same foundations of presence, self-awareness, giving and receiving, conscious touch and flowing massage, but follows a more structured format than the private retreat.
Group retreats are offered on announced dates and at suitable venues, including selected events in Liverpool.
Upcoming dates and prices will be announced separately.
Please, contact us for more info or if you have any questions.

What Couples Say
“My partner and I just finished the One Day in Loving Presence /Together in Flow/ for Couples workshop recently and it was so magnificent. Spending the day in this safe, sacred space with Zsuzsa and Berci was a new and deeply nourishing experience for us.
From the opening tea ritual and gentle conversation, we were guided into a slower, more present way of being — with ourselves and with each other. The day unfolded as a beautiful shared journey rather than a single treatment.
Learning about conscious touch, how to hold safe space for each other, and the deep moments of reflection in a way that felt natural and unforced. The massage hands-on practice was beautifully held, but what stayed with us most was the sense of safety and attentive space, where nothing needed to be fixed or changed.
We left feeling more connected, more grounded, and more able to truly listen — qualities that continue to support both our relationship and our individual lives.
Thank you, Berci and Zsuzsa, for this wonderful experience — we will definitely return.”
